Koharu Hinata was a female student who attended Akademi High in Yandere Simulator. Before she was reintroduced in 1980s Mode, she lived in Ayano's timeline.
She was first removed on August 18th, 2018, but as of October 10th, 2021 the Rainbow girls and boys were reimplemented Ryoba's timeline as characters in 1980s Mode.
Appearance[]
Koharu has medium length, bright green hair tied into two pigtails, along with bangs that sweep to the left. Her eyes are also green. She wears the school default uniform unless customized by the player. Her bust size is 1.1. She wears a green friendship bracelet on her right wrist. She also wears green panties with matching green stockings.
In builds between October 19th, 2019 and June 17th, 2021, Koharu could be seen in Buraza town, wearing a blue hoodie that was unzipped enough to reveal her school uniform. She wore her iconic green thigh-high stockings.
Personality[]
As of October 10th, 2021, Koharu has the Heroic persona. If she discovers a corpse, she will act upon the Teacher's Pet persona, meaning she will run to the faculty room to inform her teacher of her discovery, who will then call the police. If she witnesses murder, she will attack the player in an attempt to apprehend them, which results in the struggle mini-game. If she wins, the player will get a Game Over. If she loses, the player will stab her on the back of her head, killing her.
Koharu is described as being energetic, happy and bubbly. Her profile states that nothing makes her more happy than seeing her friends smile, insinuating that she is also caring.
Previously, Koharu had the Social Butterfly persona. She would strike a cute pose if a camera was pointed at her. If she witnessed murder, she would run to a heavily populated area and call the police. She could not participate in physical fights against the player.
Routine[]
As of October 10th, 2021, Koharu functions as a character in 1980s Mode. At 7:00 AM, she changes her shoes, then hangs out in the school plaza with Kaguya and the rest of the Rainbow girls. She goes to class in Classroom 2-2.
At 1:00 PM, she, along with her friend group, heads to the rooftop to eat lunch. She goes back to class at 1:22 PM.
At 3:30 PM, Koharu participates in cleaning time from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, where she heads to her locker, changes her shoes, and heads home.

- Koharu was implemented as a character in 1980s Mode on October 10th, 2021.
- She was removed in the August 18th, 2018 build.
- She and the rest of the Rainbow Six, excluding Saki, appeared in the town as of October 17th, 2019 up until 1980's Mode's release.
- She was the third character (other than the protagonist) to be ever implemented.
- Her name is a reference to the most popular female Japanese names in 2012, the fifth most popular being Koharu, and the sixth most popular being Hinata.
- In very old builds, her name was Ritsu Taina. It was a reference to Ritsu Tainaka from K-On!.
- Her male counterpart is Hayato Haruki.
